What is 'Música do Círculo'?
Música do Círculo is a methodology that develops peoples musicality and the sense of connection between them. This metholodogy was created in Brazil and is considered a social technology that is used in several countries by facilitators, educators, and leaders in various contexts.
Learn new musical tools, stimulate creativity, expression, affection, listening and cooperation, and experience the well-being that the practice of Música do Círculo offers.
About the Facilitator:
Ronaldo Crispim is one of the creators and directors of the Instituto Música do Círculo, and one of those responsible for developing the Música do Círculo practice/methodology, as well as for training new leaders of this practice inside and outside Brazil.
He has dedicated himself professionally to body music since 2007, having been part of Fernando Barba's study group (Barbatuques) and coordinating the body music group Fritos for 7 years.
He has a degree in Piano, Social Communication, Cooperation Pedagogy and the Guerreiros Sem Armas and Gaia Education programs, of regenerative culture. He is also the creator and member of the Batucantante music group for children.
Invitational Participation
Música do Círculo is a collaborative and participatory activity and you will be invited to play games, connect with others, sing and make music with us.
We treat every activity as an Invitation - participate when it feels good, take a step back to watch if you need a break, or take a seat, close your eyes and listen to experience the music from another perspective.
We encourage our participants to set their own boundaries, honor their "No's" and engage at a pace and level that is appropriate for them.
FAQs:
Do I need to have singing or musical experience?
No! This workshop is open to all skill levels and backgrounds.
Is there an age limit for participants?
If you can follow musical invitations and sync with the rhythm of the group then you're old enough to participate. Bring the whole family!
*Parents: Children are welcome to run around the circle and dance to the music so long as they are not disrupting the flow.
